Hi! My name is Jennifer Kurkowski and I'm a 24 year-old Texas native. I decided to start this site to provide support and guidance to young women and girls who are struggling in this society obsessed with perfection and earning your worth. In college I battled an eating disorder along with years of doubt in my faith. But through my struggles the Lord provided more wisdom and peace than I ever expected.
After having many years of experience growing up in the church and leading groups of young women in various groups and organizations, I felt there was an expectation to always have it together. It wasn't until I let others into my struggles that I found relief and felt Free To Be Known.
I see so much hurt, longing, and isolation in the young girls around me. I get it, I was there. So I wanted a place where I could be vulnerable with them. Maybe only one other person will every read these stories, but for that one person, it's worth it to me. I want to speak without any walls up because few people these days are willing to truly be honest. I want to provide hope and support to those who feel alone in this because I assure you, you are not.
